Fans of MobLand will not have to wait too long to see the Harrigan crime family return to work.
Paramount+ has already renewed the hit crime drama for a third season, and production is now moving surprisingly quickly. According to Pierce Brosnan, filming on Season 3 is scheduled to begin in November 2026.
Brosnan, who plays Harrigan family patriarch Conrad Harrigan, revealed the production timeline during an interview with ScreenRant alongside Helen Mirren, who plays his wife and crime-family matriarch Maeve Harrigan.
Interestingly, even Brosnan does not know exactly where the story is heading.
The actor explained that he has not discussed Conrad’s future storyline in detail with showrunner Jez Butterworth. That might sound unusual for an actor at the centre of a major television series, but Brosnan and Mirren appear comfortable with the approach.
For them, allowing the writers to keep some things secret means they can discover the story as it develops rather than knowing every twist in advance.
And considering the amount of turmoil surrounding MobLand over the past few months, there is already plenty for fans to be curious about.
Tom Hardy is officially coming back
One of the biggest questions surrounding Season 3 had previously been whether Tom Hardy would return as Harry Da Souza.
Earlier reports had suggested that Hardy might not continue with the series following reported tensions during production. At one point, reports even claimed that he had been asked to leave the show.
Those reports ultimately proved premature.
Paramount+ officially confirmed on September 3 that MobLand had been renewed for a third season, with Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren all returning.
That means Harry Da Souza will once again be caught between the competing interests surrounding the Harrigan family, while Conrad and Maeve continue their increasingly complicated battle for control.
The confirmation also puts to rest much of the uncertainty that had surrounded Hardy’s future on the show.
Season 2 sets the stage for what comes next
The timing of the announcement is particularly interesting because Season 3 was confirmed before Season 2 even premiered.
Season 2 arrives on Paramount+ on September 18, with ten episodes scheduled to be released weekly. The new season finds the Harrigans struggling to maintain control of their criminal empire while facing threats from both outside and within the family.
Harry, meanwhile, once again finds himself in the uncomfortable position of trying to keep the peace while navigating dangerous relationships and shifting loyalties.
Exactly how those conflicts will influence Season 3 remains unknown.
Brosnan’s comments suggest that even the actors are being kept largely in the dark about what Butterworth and the writing team have planned.
For a show built around betrayals, shifting alliances and characters who rarely reveal everything they’re thinking, that secrecy may actually fit MobLand rather well.
When could Season 3 arrive?
There is currently no official release date for Season 3.
Paramount+ has confirmed the renewal and the returning cast, while Brosnan has now provided the November filming start.
Based on the production schedules of the earlier seasons, there is speculation that filming could continue into early 2027. However, a potential release window should be treated as just that — a possibility rather than an announcement from Paramount+.
For now, the immediate focus is Season 2.
Once that story unfolds, viewers may have a much clearer idea of what the Harrigans, Harry Da Souza and their various enemies could be facing when the cameras begin rolling again in November.
One thing, however, is already certain: the Harrigans aren’t going anywhere just yet.
