Ted Lasso Season 4 Gets Hopeful Update

Regarding the show’s future, one of Ted Lasso’s stars has given a positive update. The third season of “Ted Lasso” on Apple TV+ concluded more than a year ago, and there has been no formal word on when the Emmy-winning show would return. There has been ongoing doubt over whether fresh episodes will ever air due to the streamer’s lack of a definitive declaration.

Actor Moe Hashim was approached by The Direct to provide an update on “Ted Lasso” season 4 while talking about his role in the Peacock series “Those About to Die”. The actor portraying football player Moe Bumbercatch, Hashim, is generally upbeat about the sports comedy returning to theaters in the end, even if it takes longer than anticipated.

“[I don’t] think this is the end of Ted Lasso. It could be in 20 years time that [we] come back.”

A recent in-depth analysis by Bloomberg examined the difficulties Apple TV+ has had to contend with Netflix. The research discovered that Apple TV+ receives less viewer views in a month than Netflix does in a single day, despite its star-studded dramas and awards accolades. The one exception, according to Nielsen, is “Ted Lasso”, which holds the title of being the most-streamed streaming series of 2023. It surpassed other well-known films like “The Night Agent” in terms of viewership, with 16.9 billion minutes viewed.

Other well-liked original shows on Apple TV+ are the dystopian “Silo” and the science fiction “Severance.” However, no other show has achieved the same level of success as the sports comedy created by Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt, and Joe Kelly. This clarifies why the streamer has not yet released an official statement and why the Ted Lasso cast has alluded to the possibility of a series finale, even in the unlikely event that Sudeikis declines to reprise his role as the show’s lead character.

There are ways to make that happen, like a prequel based on Brett Goldstein’s breakthrough Roy Kent character or a spinoff for women’s soccer. No announcements have been made so far, which could indicate that Apple TV+ is still determining how best to handle its most precious asset. Ted Lasso isn’t out of the picture just yet, despite what has been said thus far, including what Moe Hashim has just said. It just could take some time.
