Neuman’s Death In “The Boys” Was Darker Than You Realized mobilecinemanetwork.com, 30 July 2024 Several characters die in The Boys season 4, but the most significant one occurs in the finale, and one of the last moments of the episode adds even more darkness to this death. In the most recent season of The Boys, Victoria Neuman is used by Homelander and Sister Sage to submit a presidential run. Neuman eventually consents to resign after The Boys and the CIA make a valiant effort to prevent her from becoming vice president. Following the failure of her plot to kill President Robert Singer, Neuman makes an attempt to negotiate with The Boys. She unfortunately faces a bad outcome from this. The Boys season 4, episode 8 suggested that Neuman had the potential to be a valuable member of the team and that she could have changed. Butcher kills her at the end of The Boys season 4, so she never gets the chance to reveal her true self. His brutal method of killing Neuman fits perfectly with Homelander’s scheme. It also hinders the team’s development and places one character in a terrible predicament. When you consider this final detail, you can finally piece together the meaning of a short moment from season 4’s conclusion, making Neuman’s death much more tragic. A brief scene of Zoe arriving at the Red River Institute, the home of her mother and Gen V’s Marie Moreau, is shown at the conclusion of The Boys season 4. Given that Red River is Vought’s orphanage, this scene highlights the effect Neuman’s passing had on her daughter. Neuman is dead, Stan Edgar is running from the cops, and Zoe is left alone. This increases the pain of the largest death in The Boys season 4, and also makes you feel sorry for Zoe, a character we don’t get to know all that well otherwise. Zoe’s fate in season four is made even more tragic by the knowledge that Neuman and Marie were eager to leave Red River. Neuman would never want her daughter to grow up in an orphanage since she is aware of how awful they can be. The impact of Neuman’s passing is brought home by this glimpse of Zoe’s future. Even though she played a villain in The Boys season 4, Butcher had the opportunity to show her some mercy out of concern for her kid. The Boys’ greatest death of season four is made much worse by Zoe’s tragic ending, which also elevates Butcher to a greater villain status. Although Butcher has always harboured a darker side in The Boys, even he would be extremely callous to murder Neuman when she is attempting redemption. The worst part is that he does it in front of her daughter, and it’s possible that he is aware of the life he is committing Zoe to. However, in The Boys season 4, Butcher is about to eliminate all Supes, thus it’s unlikely that he will have much sympathy for Neuman’s daughter. Source: screenrant.com REVIEWS
